Why does Seedance reject a real human face?
Seedance runs a safety check that blocks photorealistic human likenesses by default, whether they come from a text prompt or a reference image. This protects against generating a real, identifiable person without consent.
Do I need to complete liveness verification to use this?
No. The official asset library skips identity verification entirely. Liveness enrollment is only required for the separate flow that lets you use your own or a client’s real face.
Which models support the official asset library?
Only Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5. Other video models on the platform, such as Veo, Grok Imagine Video, Vidu, and MiniMax H3, do not support asset:// persona references.
Can I combine a persona with my own reference image?
Yes. A persona referenced with metadata.image_roles set to reference_image can sit alongside an uploaded first_frame or last_frame image in the same request.
Does using an official persona cost extra?
No. Billing follows the normal per-second Seedance rate for the resolution you request; referencing an asset:// URI does not add a separate fee.
